The partner of a young woman who was tragically killed in a Warwick crash has given a touching tribute for his late girlfriend, saying she will always be in his heart.

The partner of Warwick woman Melita Cupitt, who tragically died after a single-vehicle crash in Morgan Park, has offered a touching tribute for his late girlfriend.

Jake Mathers, who was dating the 22-year-old woman, said he would never forget her and that she was the love of his life.

“(Melita was) such an amazing person who loved the sunset (but) even the prettiest sunset could never compare with her beauty,” he said.

“She had the most beautiful eyes. You could stare into them all day long.

“She is the love of my life and she will always be in mine and my son’s heart.”

It was believed Ms Cupitt worked in the customer service industry and had a passion for horse riding.

Ms Cupitt was also named Miss Junior Dalby Showgirl in 2017.

Her Instagram profile was filled with images of her beloved horse Whiskey Apollo and the bio reads “living life to the fullest”.

Many posted their sympathy to the family after news of Ms Cupitt’s death.

Simone White said her “infectious smile and radiant personality will be greatly missed”.

“Another young life taken from us too soon. May you rest in peace beautiful girl.”

Kayla Crummy said Ms Cupitt “was a beautiful and lovely person to know”.

“She was always so nice to me since I worked with her.”

Police said Ms Cupitt was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle travelling westbound on Warwick-Killarney Road at 7.55pm on Friday, when it left the road.

Sadly, the young woman sustained critical injuries as a result and died at the scene.

Police from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the incident.

The crash follows a horror run of accidents in the region including the death of a popular campdrafter, William Turner, on the Cunningham Highway at Gadfield.

The crash happened last Sunday afternoon with five other motorists injured and sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash happened just a few days after Will graduated from Scots PGC College.
