Warwick’s newest eatery is throwing open its doors this weekend, bringing customers an incredible opportunity to visit a dinosaur park and fairy garden while filling their bellies with delicious treats.
Wild Grounds Cafe is Warwick’s newest family-owned cafe offering fun experiences for the family as well as homemade food.
Cafe owners Kylie and Greg Parker moved to Warwick in search of a tree change in October and purchased a property on the outskirts of town.
Mrs Parker said the space delivered an opportunity to create a peaceful and inviting cafe experience.
“There was already a mound, it had a little fairy door there and I just thought, ‘how cool would that be to give the kids something to roam and explore and not just have to sit at table’,” she said.
Mrs Parker has created a fairy garden, dinosaur park, a Japanese garden, children’s play area and Australiana-themed space all within the cafe grounds.
The business owner said she was looking forward to bringing people together to create an atmosphere where both parents and kids can relax and enjoy themselves.
She hopes these spaces will entice guests to stay and enjoy as well as take pictures in the garden.
“We have created a designated photo space with the flower sign ‘I heart you’, where people can post it online and use the hashtag Wild Grounds,” she said.
Wild Grounds Cafe has its grand opening on Wednesday, and will be open every day from 7am until 3pm.
The cafe is located at 674 Warwick-Killarney Road.
