The Crown told the court in its opening address the man committed several unwanted “sexual acts” against two boys, aged 10 and 13 at time of offending.

The jury was told it was the Crown case that the first lot of offending, allegedly relating to the 13-year-old boy, involved the man making unwanted advances on the boy, including touching his bottom, back and thigh in a “massaging motion” when asked to help take off a shirt.

Ms O’Brien told the jury the man allegedly also attempted to touch the boy’s genitalia, but he did not let him.

On another occasion, the jury was told the man allegedly kissed the boy on the lips and attempted to put his tongue in the boy’s mouth, which the boy rejected by sealing his lips shut.

The Crown alleges the man committed similar acts against the 10-year-old boy, including putting his hand around the boy’s throat and wrists, pushing him onto a bed before kissing the boy.

The man allegedly assaulted the 10-year-old boy the next day, pushing the boy against a shed in the backyard, placing his hand on the boys genitalia.

The following day the court was told the man allegedly sent an image of his penis over Snapchat to the 10-year-old boy while he was looking after the two children while the parents were travelling to Toowoomba.

The final offending that was heard in the Crown’s opening address involved the man allegedly sending a video to the boy of himself urinating into a bottle over Snapchat.

The court was told that when one of the boys involved told his mother what had allegedly happened it was reported to police.

When confronted by the boys’ mother, the man denied the messages and claimed his phone had been hacked.

The court was closed Tuesday afternoon to allow the children to testify evidence.

The trial will continue before Judge Nathan Jarro on Wednesday.
