Warwick family in shock after beautiful dog left to die on side of the road

A Warwick family has appealed to the public following what they claim was a targeted attack on their kind-hearted dog which was left to die on the side of the road. Warning: confronting.

A Warwick family has appealed to the public for any information following a horrific attack on their beloved pet at the weekend.

The Baker family’s adored dog Hooch was brutally tortured and killed on Saturday, with his owners believing they know who has done it.

The family believed the incident happened sometime between 12-4pm.

In a confronting scene, Wes Baker found the body of his six-year-old dog on the side of the road and said he couldn’t even look at it, immediately having to put a blanket over it.

Mr Baker believed the attack was targeted.

“It’s definitely suspicious,” Mr Baker said he confronted those he believed responsible, but they did not respond.

“They denied everything, we’ve been pretty shaken up and I still can’t get my head around it, I can’t believe someone could do this.

“He was targeted and tortured, it’s too much of a coincidence that it’s happened now.

“Hooch was one of a kind, he had absolutely no violence in him whatsoever, everyone loved him.”

The family is appealing for any information relating to the death of Hooch, anyone with any footage from Saturday should come forward to local police.
