Two-vehicle crash sees man trapped in flood water

A man reportedly trapped in rising flood waters on an isolated road in southwest Queensland is now out of the vehicle.
Queensland emergency crews had been called to the incident near Carrigan Rd and Toenda Bus Rd, 27km outside of Goondiwindi about 11.30am on Friday.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said when the crew arrived shortly after noon, NSW emergency services had the incident under control.
The QFES spokesman said when crews arrived all persons were out of the vehicle.

Emergency services are racing to the scene of a two-vehicle crash near the border of Queensland and New South Wales where a driver is trapped in a bus wreck in a gully with rising flood waters.
Four Queensland Fire and Rescue crews, including swiftwater teams are responding to the incident.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said initial reports suggested a vehicle had been caught in flood water.
Further reports indicated a small bus and 4WD collided on the isolated road, causing the bus to leave the road and crash into a gully.
The incident is said to have occurred bout 11.30am near Carrigan Rd and Toenda Bus Rd, 27km southeast of Goondiwindi.
The QFES spokesman said the bus driver remains inside the vehicle which is currently sitting in about 30cm of rising water.
