THIEVES forced their way into Lee Volk Jewellery store overnight on Thursday, making off with a yet-to-be determined amount of jewellery.
An unknown number of offenders smashed the front door of the Palmerin St store to gain access to building.
Acting officer-in-charge Shane Reid said police were reviewing CCTV in relation to the break-in as they attempted to identifying those responsible.
Acting Senior Sergeant Reid said police are eager to speak to anyone who has any information at all on the break-in. Anyone who can help should contact police immediately.
Despite rumours, Act Snr Sgt Reid confirmed police did not have to taser a man on Wood St overnight on Thursday.
Also making its way around the workplace water coolers yesterday, was talk of a service station break-in on the same evening.
Again, Snr Sgt Reid said there was no truth to these rumours.
Unfortunately however, reports a man had committed suicide in Warwick on Thursday night, have been confirmed by police. No other details have been released.
