Tee up for BUSHkids golf day

DIG out your golf clubs, pull on your argyle vest and tee up a team, the annual BUSHkids Warwick Golf Day is fast approaching.

The event will be held on Sunday, October 21 and all proceeds will be used to support the BUSHkids in the local community.

You can organise a team with your family, friends or work colleagues or enter as an individual.

It will be a four ball Ambrose with four players on a team.

The Warwick BUSHkids team said it was advisable that at least one member per team had a handicap or an idea on how to play golf.

Prizes will be awarded for best nett and runner-up, best gross and runner up and the wooden spoon.

There will also be prizes for the best dressed best dressed.

BUSHkids corporate relations and event co-ordinator Tiffany Bannier-King said there was plenty of action planned for the day.

"Exciting plans for the day's fundraising activities include a multi-draw raffle, and a sporting memorabilia auction of items including signed NRL jerseys, autographed Bart Cummings framed photograph and lots more," she said.

The Warwick BUSHkids team said they were also looking for donations for the raffle or prizes.

Tickets are $15 per person for members and $25 for non-members.
