THE Warwick Supa IGA store has opened its community chest once again, giving out a total of $3500.

On Friday the Warwick Show and Rodeo Society was presented with $1500, while $500 went to both the Allora Medical Support Group and the Warwick Basketball Association.

The Warwick State High School received $1000 which teacher Jacinta Boland said would be used to purchase two 50-inch plasma screens.

"These will be very valuable resources for many years to come," she said.

Supa IGA Warwick store managing partner Shane Smith said he was happy to help the community.

"We want to be involved and support everyone in the community," he said.

The community chest has provided $8000 this year.
