RUGBY LEAGUE: The start of the new football season is rapidly approaching, and Collegians Junior Rugby League club are eager to welcome new players.

Holding their annual sign-on day on Tuesday afternoon, newly appointed president Dave O’Leary is looking forward to seeing how the 2020 season unfolds.

“We’re expecting similar numbers this year but it’s always good to get new faces into the teams,” he said.

“There are teams in the under 7s to the under 16s for the boys, and in the girls, we have an under 15s and under 18s team in the league tag competition.”

Despite still finalising coaching staff for the upcoming season, O’Leary is confident all will be organised for the first week of training.

“Once it’s all sorted, training should take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays,” he said.

“It’s always a fairly competitive competition in the Warwick and District League.

“We’re just a fun, good team environment and a club with a good history.”

Collegians sign-on day will happen on Tuesday at 4pm to 6pm at the Collegians club house on Jackie Howe Drive.
