THERE are just 14 sleeps until this year's Jumpers and Jazz Festival starts and the town's statue has been knitted up for the occasion.

For those looking to kick back and relax to a bit of jazz and a glass of wine, the picnic in the park will be the event for you.

From 9am to 3pm, the picnic is on the last Sunday of the event.

Warwick Tourism and Events chief executive Tracy Vellacott said a wine bar would be set up for the event and would feature some of the region's best wines.

"The wine bar featured in Leslie Park will once again include some exceptional drops from Summit Estate and Twisted Gum wineries, along with delicious cheese-tasting plates from Granite Belt Dairy," she said,

"The wine bar area has an excellent view of the stage, which is set to showcase some of south-east Queensland's finest jazz musicians as well as local talent."

Among the performers will be SCAT, Freud Squad, The Clem Four and Blues Angels Jazz Band.

St Mary's Choir and Warwick State High School bands will also perform.

If jazz is not your thing maybe the amazing skills of circus performer Great Scott or a street theatre performance by Nobby the English Bobby will strike your fancy.

Warwick Potters Association is also organising a market stall with more than 100 exhibitors.

Mrs Vellacott said she hoped for a record crowd.

"Enjoy the live music, craft markets, food and wine and a terrific line-up of entertainment for the finale of the 2012 Jumpers and Jazz in July festival," she said.
