Warwick police were kept busy over the weekend, responding to three incidents including two alleged assaults and an armed robbery.
Here’s what happened over the weekend in the Rose City.
Leslie Park assault
Police are currently investigating an assault involving juveniles which occurred on Saturday at Leslie Park in Warwick’s CBD.
Two juveniles were allegedly involved in the incident, which is being investigated by Warwick CPIU, with a 16-year-old victim alleged to have been assaulted by two minors.
Police will allege the victims were both female.
Armed Robbery
Warwick Police are currently investigating the armed robbery of a service station in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The service station on Wallace St was hit by a man dressed in dark clothing, armed with a knife about 5.15am Sunday, with the robber threatening the female attendant with the weapon.
The man made off with a small amount of cash and cigarettes.
Police are currently investigating the matter.
Bloody man runs into police station after believed assault
Officers were alerted to a man entering the Warwick Police Station on Saturday afternoon, reportedly covered in blood following a believed assault at an address in Warwick.
The man indicated to police he had been assaulted at a Warwick address, but was not prepared to make a statement regarding the incident.
The man did not make a complaint to police and officers will not be looking into the matter further.
