Police have launched an investigation after thieves stole a car from a Warwick business before attempting to burn it out

Police have launched an investigation to find the thieves who stole a car from a Warwick business before attempting to burn it.

The car was stolen from a business on in town in the early hours of Tuesday, May 4.

Warwick police sergeant Greg Burton said the thieves attempted to burn out the vehicle, which was found on Watson Street.

“No-one has been charged yet,” sergeant Burton said.

The car was stolen on the same week there were two unlawful entry offences, one for stolen goods and one for drug offences across the Warwick area.

Six of the 22 offences committed in the past week occurred on Wednesday 5 May between 6am - 2pm.

Investigations into the burnt-out car were ongoing, sergeant Burton said.
