A Warwick teen with two prior convictions for the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle will remain in police custody after a crime spree that allegedly left an elderly man with a knife wound and ended with a police pursuit.
Eilsel Lloyd Cubby, 19, is facing a litany of charges, including three counts of break and enter with intent, and one each of wounding, evasion, attempted robbery with actual violence, entering a dwelling with intent, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle with two prior convictions, trespass, stealing, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, failing to supply a specimen of saliva and disqualified driving.
The 19-year-old had his matter mentioned in Warwick Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon.
He did not make an application for bail and is remanded in police custody until his next court date.
Police will allege Cubby stole a Mitsubishi Triton from a Canning Street home about 11pm Friday evening, before trying to force his way into an Albert St home on Saturday morning.
It is alleged the 66-year-old woman who lives in the home disturbed the teen as he tried to break in through her laundry.
Police will further allege Cubby fled a Bell Place property after being disturbed trying to break-in by the 85-year-old resident.
He is also accused of stealing a phone and other items from an Acacia Ave property and wounding an elderly Mount Tabor Road resident with a knife before fleeing in the stolen Triton.
The 75-year-old man was taken to hospital in a stable condition with a wound to his chin.
Cubby was arrested after allegedly leading police on a pursuit through Killarney before officers used spikes to stop the stolen vehicle.
The Warwick teenager is due to front court again on August 25.
