A busy Warwick service station has been targeted in a brazen overnight break-in, with thieves stealing hundreds of dollars’ worth of items and causing even more in damages.

Police claim the burglars smashed a window to gain entry to the Warwick United petrol station on Helene Street overnight on Thursday.

It was reported thieves then pocketed cigarettes, confectionery, and drinks worth about $500 before fleeing the scene.

Warwick police were at the scene on Friday morning collecting forensic evidence and CCTV footage for review.

No suspects have been identified at this stage.

The shocking break-in comes after a spate of property-related crimes across Warwick and its surrounds.
