An injured motorcyclist has been transported to Warwick Hospital after crashing his bike on a road just off a busy highway.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Tralee Road at 12.18pm Sunday.

A police spokesman said the 42-year-old local man came off the bike while riding on loose gravel.

A chopper was originally tasked to the scene but the relatively minor nature of the man’s injuries led to him being taken by ambulance.

An ambulance spokeswoman said the male rider was taken to Warwick Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.
