RETIREES from all over Australia know how good life is at Regency Park but now the government has acknowledged it as well.
Regency Park Aged Care - set to home 90 patients - was awarded 30 high care spaces in the upcoming nursing home during a round of federal funding.
Co-developer Marcus Barlow said he was thrilled by the successful application.
"The good thing about it was it was basically recognition by the government of the high quality of Regency Park," he said.
"What the government sees is that it has been well accepted into the community and further afield.
"We have created a lot of interest with not only the physical layout but also our community structures."
The nursing home is set to be built on a property adjacent to Regency Park Retirement Village.
Mr Barlow said it was too early to predict when work would begin on the nursing home, with four stages of houses to be completed first.
Plans
- Regency Park given 30 additional high-care placements for its nursing home
- Plans are to have 90 beds - 50 high care and 40 low care
