Man rescued after truck rolls near creek bed outside Warwick

Just 24 hours after responding to a B-double rollover on the New England Highway, Southern Downs emergency services have rescued a man after his water truck rolled over into a creek bed 20km southeast of Warwick. Full details here.

Southern Downs emergency services have again been called to the scene of a heavy vehicle rollover on a rural road 20km southeast of Warwick this morning.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said crews arrived on scene at around 7.33am and found a man in his 50s whose legs appeared to be trapped.

The water truck was reportedly found rolled over in a creek bed on Junabee Rd, around 500m in from Yangan Killarney Rd at Danderoo.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said crews arrived on scene at around 7.35am and were able to free the man using hydraulic cutting equipment.

The man in his 50s was transported to Warwick Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson advised the road was reopened as of 8.45am this morning.

Just over 24 hours ago, emergency services responded to the scene of a B-double rollover on the New England Highway at Glen Aplin, where the driver was also rescued from the cabin of the prime mover and was transported to Stanthorpe Hospital with minor injuries.
