The 2021 comeback of the Warwick Cowboys Ladies’ Day proved a hit for the rugby league club with dozens of supporters turning out in style.
The Warwick club hosted Toowoomba Valleys for a fast-paced afternoon of footy with women’s, U18s, reserve grade, and A-grade sides all competing.
The final match of the night also contained a few special additions for the club, with the A-grade side donning new jerseys in honour of the Toowoomba Rugby League indigenous round and NAIDOC Week.
All new jerseys were to be auctioned off with proceeds donated to domestic violence awareness organisation Safe Haven.
The Warwick A-grade team also brought home the Jim Valley Memorial Shield, an annual trophy which is dedicated to the well-loved coach who worked closely with both clubs.
It was also a huge social occasion for the Warwick community, with dozens of ladies turning out in style for the beloved event.
