POURING rain and chilly weather was not enough to stop the locals dressing the trees up and down Palmerin St yesterday.

The Jumpers and Jazz in July Festival officially starts today and the rest of the trees should be dressed by tomorrow afternoon as the rain hopefully clears.

Business owner Helen Daley said the tree jumpers were her favourite part of the festival.

"I'm looking forward to the tree jumpers the most," she said.

"They are something different and unique to Warwick."

Tree jumpers have been sent in from around the country and the world, including Daisy Hill at Logan and from Lincolnshire in England.

More than 100 people have entered this year's competition so make sure you take note of which jumper is your favourite.
