Emergency services respond to horror single-vehicle crash at Yangan

The initial report indicates the man failed to engage the handbrake and the vehicle rolled into him, pinning him to a tree by his abdomen and groin.

The tragic truth about road deaths in Australia

Paramedics and firefighters have freed a man who has been pinned between his utility and a tree on Halls Road at Yangan.

The initial report suggests the man left his car’s handbrake off and it rolled into him, trapping him against a tree shortly after 2.30pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man was conscious and breathing when the paramedics arrived.

The man was pinned around his abdomen and groin area and suffered multiple lower body injuries.

Paramedics transported him by road to the Warwick Based Hospital in a serious but stable condition where it was likely he would be loaded onto a rescue chopper and flown to Brisbane.

It has been a busy day for emergency services in the area who were earlier called to a fatal tractor rollover at Wallangarra.
