A 4WD towing a caravan has flipped in dramatic fashion, injuring one and closing a lane of a major highway in the state’s south.

Emergency services were called to the New England Highway Near Mitchells Road at Dalveen, north of Stanthorpe, about 11am on Tuesday.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said one crew attended the crash and found a 4WD on its side, and the caravan it was towing totalled on its roof.
