Cunningham Highway impacted after motorcycle crash near Tregony

A highway in Queensland’s southwest has witnessed yet another crash involving a motorcycle.

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on a strip of a major highway in the state’s southwest vastly becoming known for motorcycle accidents.

It’s understood a motorcycle travelling on the Cunningham Highway near Tregony has crashed just after 2pm on Tuesday.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said paramedics were on scene and assessing a male patient for chest and arm injuries.

Queensland Fire Department crews and police are also on scene to assist with traffic control.

A QFD spokeswoman said the eastbound lane of the highway has been closed.

It’s unclear at this stage how long traffic will be impacted.
