The search for a missing Mount Colliery man has come to a tragic end after his body was found in floodwaters.
Queensland Police reported that the 86-year-old man, who was located deceased on Friday, March 31, after he was reported missing on Thursday morning after he didn’t return home from a trip to Warwick.
The man’s body was found in his submerged vehicle at Emu Creek, Danderoo, at 12.50pm by officers patrolling the area around the creek.
Initial investigations indicate the vehicle was swept into floodwaters from Junabee Rd and there are no suspicious circumstances in the death.
