The first weekend of Warwick’s favourite winter festival is now complete and saw a flurry of excited ‘jumpers and jazzers’ flood the CBD to take part in some of the quirky events on offer.
A fan favourite this weekend was the grand car show, which saw Palmerin St and Leslie Park lined with vintage cars and an array of food stalls, not forgetting the stars of the 10-day event which this year included the Curiouser and Curiouser yarntopian display at King’s Theatre and tree jumpers.
With festival goers encouraged to stay and play in their caravan’s and camper vans, the showgrounds and surrounding caravan parks were lined with one group of campers eagerly awaiting Killarney’s bonfire night on Saturday night.
Another group of returning jumpers and jazzers from Toowoomba said this year was one of the busiest they’ve seen in the six years they’ve been coming out to Warwick’s funky winter festival.
“The road was busier this year, it was almost bumper to bumper on the way out. It was tough getting a park too,” they said.
