CHURCHES of Christ Care has been an active part of the Queensland community for more than 130 years, operating more than 150 care services throughout Queensland and Victoria.
With its recent acquisition of Regency Park Retirement Village, the not-for-profit organisation is set to expand services on the Southern Downs.
Director of Seniors and Supported Living Bryan Mason said the acquisition complemented services already provided in the region.
These services include personal and domestic assistance, nursing care, home maintenance and modification.
Churches of Christ Care also operates the Stanthorpe 38-bed Villa Carramar and 64-bed Carramar Hostel Aged Care Services.
With the looming closure of the Stanthorpe Nursing Home, Mr Mason said the organisation was helping with the placement of residents.
With its central placement, Mr Mason said Warwick was the perfect base from which to run their services for the region.
"We are keen to collaborate with other community aged care providers for the provision of services in the region," he said.
Mr Mason said the organisation is involved in many community services including foster care, child youth services, low-income housing and community aged in-home care packages from low through to high-level care.
