THE TREE jumpers are up, jazz music is playing through the main street and hundreds of visitors are flocking to the quiet city of Warwick.
The visitors are here to admire the colourful trees and soak up the atmosphere but they also are here to shop.
Craft Shop volunteer Beverley Brennan said business improved during the Jumpers and Jazz festival.
"Artists bring in their work and we sell it for them," she said.
"Because it's winter we have a lot of knitted and warm stuff at the moment and it is very popular.
"The sales always increase when the festival is on.
"It's really good."
Clothing shop Classic Dimensions owner Robyn Fraser said many customers would walk through the door during the 10 days.
"You get lots of groups of ladies who have travelled to town to see the trees," she said.
"And women love to shop in groups.
"The 10 days is all about the visitors in town and the businesses need to warm to it and help create the atmosphere."
Mrs Fraser said the festival was a great idea.
"It's a great concept," she said.
"Any special event in Warwick creates good business."
Canning Town Patchwork owner Leah Paech also said sales went up.
