With term 3 now come to a close, Queensland school holidays are officially underway with many Warwick and Stanthorpe community groups prepared to take the heat off of parents and keep the young ones entertained.

From sporting activities to arts and crafts and much more, there’s something on offer for all ages.

See the list below of activities available across the region these September school holidays.

ACTIVITIES ACROSS BOTH WEEKS

STANTHORPE FITNESS CENTRE (costs apply)

• Social table tennis – Monday’s from 10am-11am.
• Brazilian Martial Arts – Tuesday’s and Fridays at 3.30pm.
• Social Basketball (14+) – Wednesdays from 5pm-7pm.
• Badminton – Wednesdays at 7pm
• Basketball clinic – Thursdays from 10am-11.30am
• Taekwondo – Thursday’s from 5pm-6.30pm
• Youth Spin class (ages 12-18) – Thursdays from 6pm-7pm.
• Social Pickleball – Fridays from 10am-11am

WEEK 1 ACTIVITIES (Sep 18-22)

WIRAC (costs apply)

• Kids Boxing – 10.30am-12.30pm on Wednesday, September 20.
• Pool Volleyball and Capture the Flag – 10.30am-12.30pm on Thursday, September 21.
• Pool inflatable – 10.30am-12.30pm on Friday, September 22.

WARWICK GYMNASTICS (costs apply)

• Ninja program – 5.30pm-6.30pm on September 20 and 27 – $15 a participant.
• Try outs – 5pm-6pm on September 21 and 28 – $10 a participant.

STANTHORPE REGIONAL ART GALLERY – QUT Children’s Technology Centre activities

• Blocks and bots (ages 3-6) – from 9am-10am on Thursday, September 21.
• My Stanthorpe (ages 7-10) from 11am-12pm on Thursday, September 21.
• ‘Training’ around (ages 3-6) from 9am-10am on Friday, September 22
  and Wednesday, September 27.

• Taekwondo – 3.30-5.30 on Tuesday, September 26 and Wednesday, September 27.
• All day pool entry on Friday, September 29.

STANTHORPE LITTLE THEATRE CO

• FREE drama workshops from 1pm-6pm on Tuesday, September 26.

STANTHORPE CIVIC CENTRE

• ‘Bird craft’ holiday art workshop, from 10am on Tuesday, September 26.
• ‘Tree craft’ art workshop, from 10am on Thursday, September 28.
