Frogs usually come out on the losing end when they go head-to-head with snakes. Not this little guy.

THEY build them tough in the north.
A hungry green tree frog has been filmed devouring a small snake in suburban Townsville.
Tina Thompson, 37, of Jensen, said she and her partner, Aaron Weinheimer, 36, were watching wild ducks leaving their backyard about 7pm Monday when they heard a frog hopping over a pebble.
“My partner Aaron told me to come have a look under the clothesline,” Miss Thompson said.
“There was the frog, chomping down on the little snake.
“He had already swallowed the head so we couldn’t see what type of snake it was.”
Miss Thompson said it took the frog about two minutes to swallow the entire snake.
“The frog kept using both hands to stuff the snake in its mouth,” she said.
“It just sat there afterwards, breathing heavily like it had a major workout.
“When I looked closer you could still see the head of the snake poking around in the belly of the frog.”
Miss Thompson, a retail assistant and bird wildlife carer, said she was not sure what type of snake became the amphibian’s meal.
She said she recognised the green tree frog as a regular visitor.
“It’s actually one of the ones I sometimes have to rescue from the mouth of my domestic ducks at night, as it has scarring from their bill on its back,” she said.
“He’s been one of the lucky frogs, as normally the curlews make a meal of them at night.”
