Two people critically injured in Burbank crash, Greenslopes accident delays peak-hour traffic

Two men are fighting for life after they were trapped in their car following a three-vehicle crash involving a truck in Brisbane’s southeast.

Two men are fighting for life after they were trapped in their car following a three-vehicle crash involving a truck in Brisbane’s southeast.

It comes as a multi-vehicle crash at Greenslopes caused headaches for city-bound peak-hour commuters.

Emergency services were called to a multi-vehicle crash on Mount Cotton Rd and Marawah St at Burbank at 7.10am.

Queensland Fire Department crews had to use cutting equipment to free the trapped men.

The two men, one in their 20s, were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life threatening injuries.

The two men who were in the truck were taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Both lanes have been affected from the crash with traffic blocked from the west direction. Traffic is expected to move slowly for some time.

Meanwhile, commuters heading into Brisbane earlier faced massive delays after a two-car crash at Greenslopes.

The incident occurred near the Juliette St exit at 7.50am.

A man in his 20s was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
