The family of a nine-week-old boy who was found dead at a home south-east of Brisbane have paid tribute to him, saying he will be forever missed.
Police were called to Larbonya Crescent on Sunday, August 11, where a nine-week-old boy named River was found dead.
River’s grandfather Cameron Faulkner paid tribute to his grandson on a GoFundMe fundraiser he had set up to help his family.
“River was a wonderful son, great great grandson, great grandson, grandson, brother, nephew, and cousin,” Mr Faulkner posted.
“We all loved him so much. There wasn’t a day that he didn’t bring warmth to our hearts with his beautiful smile and happy nature.
“He will be forever missed and never forgotten.”
Mr Faulkner added that funds raised from the GoFundMe would be used to help his daughter through the tragedy.
“Any money that is donated is going towards this ceremony/funeral, and if there is any money left over, it will be put towards helping my daughter to help her raise her other son through this tragedy,” he said.
Investigations into the circumstances of River’s death are ongoing. River’s family is not accused of wrongdoing in relation to his death.
