THE Cleveland train line is causing headaches for commuters once again, with a cancelled peak service getting frustrated passengers fired up.

The 4.32pm service from Central to Manly ran express from Park Road to Morningside and the next service, the 4.47pm was cancelled entirely.

TransLink has said the changes were called by a “medical emergency”.

However commuters waiting at South Brisbane station said staff at the station were unable to tell them why their service was axed, and have been left in the dark waiting for the next which is due to arrive just before 5.30pm.

One woman, who chose not to be named, said she uses the southbound service regularly and saw stops skipped on a regular basis.

“I’ve seen school kids miss their stop on the way to school, it’s a real problem,” she said.

“The station is getting quite full now and I can only imagine what Central would look like, we’ll be jammed in when the train finally arrives.”
