Traffic delays and two taken to hospital after three-vehicle crash on M1 northbound

A man and woman have been taken to hospital after a three-car crash on the M1 this afternoon about 1.20pm, with one of the vehicles ending up on its roof.

A man and woman have been taken to hospital after a crash on the M1 at Springwood this afternoon.

Paramedics were called to the three-car crash in the northbound lanes of the motorway about 1.20pm.

A woman in her 40s was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital while a man in his 70s was taken to Logan Hospital.

They were both in a stable condition with no obvious injuries.

Traffic began to build following the crash but delays have since eased.
