Townsville near drowning follows similar Logan incident
A child has been rushed to hospital following the second near-drowning in Queensland in as many days.

A YOUNG girl has been rushed to hospital after nearly drowning at a Townsville residence this morning.
The near-tragedy happened near the intersection of Village Boulevard and Riverway Drive, Thuringowa Central, just before 11am.
Paramedics transported the child in a stable condition to Townsville Hospital.
It follows a similar incident at a residence in Logan south of Brisbane on Friday.
A child was taken to Logan Hospital in a critical condition after the incident about 6pm.
