Two young boys are in a serious condition after separate near-drowning events in southeast Queensland this afternoon.

A boy under five years of age was pulled from a body of water at a private residence at Mountain Creek about 4.30pm.

He was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

It comes after a male toddler was rushed to hospital in a serious but stable condition after a near-drowning incident on the Gold Coast.

In that instance, paramedics were called to a park off Marine Parade in Labrador at 12.15pm.
