Tiahleigh Palmer: Search of Thorburn property moves indoors

An acting inspector on site told The Courier-Mail it was not yet certain if the home would remain a crime scene on Wednesday but said there would “not be a square-inch” of the home left to examine before police left.

12.20pm Crime scene investigators are again at the thorburn family home, as forensic investigations into the murder of Tiahleigh Palmer continues for the fifth day.

All front-facing windows of the Chambers Flat property have been covered in black plastic with police moving their investigations indoors.

Investigators clad in blue clean suits have been seen entering and exiting the home and forensic officers have begun removing more furniture from the house.

At least seven pieces of what appears to be a lounge set have been taken from the house to a gazebo at the side of the house.

Chairs and other furniture were also moved into a gazebo yesterday.

The excavator, which was on site on Friday digging up the backyard of

the 2ha property, will is expected to return on Monday.

Julene Thorburn returns to property

Julene Thorburn, the former foster mother of Tiahleigh, returned to the Chambers Flat property on Sunday afternoon - an ongoing routine since investigators declared the home a crime scene on Wednesday.

Mrs Thorburn exited her vehicle, but did not talk to the media.

Neighbours also refused to speak to the media on Sunday.
