The new three-storey centre on the site’s south would require the demolition of the existing building, which house the Harvest fruit shop, Yeronga Bakery and Nightowl.
The existing car park would be excavated to make room for a new underground parking facility, which would nearly double the number of spaces from 74 to 144.
The exterior of two other buildings, which house a number of other shops, would be retained but would be internally reconfigured.
It is located just 250 metres from Yeronga Train Station, which the development application notes will allow “public transport users to easily access the centre while completing their journey.”
