Three cars have crashed on a busy road in Brisbane’s north causing significant traffic delays in the area. Meanwhile traffic is also congested on the Pacific and Gateway motorways and Western Freeways.

Three cars have crashed on a busy road in Brisbane’s north causing significant traffic delays in the area.
The cars crashed at the intersection of Kitchener and Appleby Rd in Stafford Heights about 5.10pm, with traffic now backed up in both directions on Kitchener Rd and southbound on Appleby Rd.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed seven people are currently being assessed by paramedics.
Road closures have been put in place while the debris is removed and police have advised motorists to avoid the area.
Meanwhile, the southwest’s major highways are starting to feel the Easter Holiday burn, with widespread congestion occurring on the Pacific Motorway at the Gold Coast, Logan and Brisbane.
Southbound traffic on the Western Freeway is heavier than usual, particularly at Moggill Rd, and Brisbane City drivers are facing up to 15 minutes delays on the Riverside Expressway and Coronation Drive.
The northbound Gateway Motorway is also experiencing heavy congestion, with traffic delays of at least ten minutes for motorists heading towards the Sunshine Coast.
