Crowds will be allowed to attend the Sharks vs Broncos game at Suncorp Stadium tomorrow afternoon despite southeast Queensland being subject to a raft of restrictions until July 16.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and chief health officer Dr Jeannette Young announced the remaining restrictions during a lunchtime press conference where they said the lockdown of Brisbane and Moreton Bay will end at 6pm tonight.

While people attending the football game will have to wear a mask and check-in with a QR code, Brisbane, Moreton Bay and all other areas that were in lockdown this week will remain subject several restrictions for another fortnight.

Private gatherings are restricted to 30 people, while up to 100 people can attend weddings and funerals.

Dancing is not allowed except at weddings (for 20 guests at a time) and dance studios or dance classes.

Patrons must be seated to drink or eat in cafes and restaurants, and businesses and venues are allowed one person per 4sqm inside and one person per 2sqm outdoors, while smaller venues up to 200sqm are allowed one person per 2sqm with a maximum of 50 people.

The capacity of indoor concert venues and theatres is 100 per cent with ticketed and allocated seating or one person per 4 square metres.

“We’re going back to where we were after we’d done all of those lockdowns last year,” Dr Young said.

Residents must wear a mask at all times outside the home, including in workplaces, where it is safe to wear a mask and you cannot physically distance yourself, on public transport and when doing non-vigorous exercise.
