The $54 burger you can only get at the Ekka

A 1.8kg burger has made its debut at the Ekka and stacked with pulled pork, beef brisket, fried chicken and much more, this isn’t your ordinary fast food hit. SEE THE VIDEO

A 1.8kg burger has made its debut at the Ekka and this isn’t your ordinary burger, with pulled pork, beef brisket and fried chicken (and more) all part of the package.

Boom Burgers co-director John Noe said he wanted to bring something a bit different to the Ekka.

The Mega Boom Burger has chicken, double pulled pork, double beef brisket, crispy bacon, cheese, lettuce, onion rings, slaw, barbecue sauce and mayonnaise.

It’s topped with onion rings and a chicken ring.

Mr Noe said he wanted to turn the ordinary burger into a show burger.

The Mega Boom Burger is something you’ll only see at the Ekka.

“We turn the basic burger into pretty much everything on the menu., We thought we’d give everyone a taste of everything,” he said.

“We use top quality, we smoke our own brisket, we smoke our own pulled pork. Nothing is dry its all fresh.

Mr Noe said it could be a challenge for those coming to the Ekka.

“I wanted to remind them of the Ekka, its show food. This is what people come for,” he said.

“They want to get something they cant get anywhere else and that's what the show is all about.”

There is also a mini version of the burger available for $32 at the Gourmet Plaza. Other options available are the La Mano Tacos which will be serving up pork tacos with a verde sauce. There is also a ramen corndog available in the Woolworths Pavilion.
