Teenager charged with over 20 property-related offences across SEQ

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with 21 offences following a string of alleged break-ins across Southeast Queensland.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with 21 offences following a string of alleged break-ins across Southeast Queensland.

Queensland Police allege the boy unlawfully entered properties and vehicles across the Ipswich, South Brisbane and Moreton regions between February 9 and March 19.

No one was injured during the alleged offences.

Detectives arrested the 17-year-old Biddeston boy on Monday night.

He has been charged with 21 offences including: one count each of trespass on railway, possess tainted property, possess dangerous drugs, possess by night instrument of house breaking, and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, two counts each of attempted enter dwelling with intent, and enter dwelling with intent by break, three counts each of enter dwelling and commit, and enter premises and commit indictable offence, and four counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle.

His bail was refused, and he is due to appear at Ipswich Childrens Court on Tuesday.

Investigations are continuing.
