A teenager has died in a car crash southwest of Toowoomba on Friday afternoon.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the fatal single-vehicle crash in Tummaville on Friday, June 28.
Initial investigations indicate a white Toyota utility was travelling east on Owens Scrub Rd, towards Leyburn around 2.40pm, when it left the road, struck a tree, and caught on fire.
The 17-year-old male passenger in the vehicle escaped with minor injuries.
The 18-year-old male driver from Warwick died at the scene.
Police are appealing to anyone with information or dashcam vision that could assist investigations, to come forward.
