A funeral date has been set for another victim of the Gold Coast helicopter crash.

Sydney woman Vanessa Tadros will be farewelled at a service at the St John The Beloved Church at Mt Druitt on Monday.

It will follow the funeral of Sea World Helicopters chief pilot Ash Jenkinson on the Gold Coast on Friday.

Both were killed along with British tourists Ron and Diane Hughes when two Sea World choppers collided mid-air during a joy flight over the Southport Broadwater on January 2.

Mrs Tadros’s 10-year-old son Nicholas was seriously injured in the disaster and remains in a critical but stable condition in Queensland Children’s Hospital.

His father Simon, who witnessed the tragedy from the ground, has been maintaining a bedside vigil for his son but is expected to travel to Sydney for his wife’s funeral.

Nicholas had six hours of surgery on Tuesday in what Mr Tadros said would be a “major test’ on his battered body as he fights to recover.

Parishioners at the St John The Beloved Church where the Tadros family worshipped have been praying for Nicholas’s recovery.

“Thank you all for the love and support and please keep Nicholas in your prayers,” parish priest Fr Suresh Kumar said.

Mr Tadros spoke with detectives this week as the investigation into the crash continued.

The other child victim of the disaster, nine-year-old Leon de Silva, is in a stable condition in QCU while his mother Winnie is stable in Gold Coast University Hospital.
