MAROOCHYDORE Roos have once again taken a stand against domestic violence by hosting White Ribbon round on Saturday.

At the QAFC club's final home game, the premiers promoted awareness and funds towards the prevention of domestic violence on the Coast.

A "powerful" address was delivered by White Ribbon ambassador and clubman Brett Phillips to the 300-strong crowd.

Operations manager Lisa Daldy said the campaign was something the entire club supported.

"We think the message is really important, because we have so many men at the club. It's all about promoting respect for women," she said.

"If people need help, we are there for them and we want the supporters to know it's safe.

"Brett's oath was awesome. The men were lined up shoulder-to-shoulder behind the women. It was powerful."
