A driver’s medical episode has seen a car crash into the side of a popular Sunshine Coast pub.

About 5pm yesterday, emergency crews were called to the Buderim Tavern, near the Buderim Woolworths car park on Burnett St.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said they responded to reports of a single vehicle crashing into a building but were not required to rescue the driver from the car.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the woman driver in her 60s suffered a medical episode that caused the car to veer out of control into the side of the tavern.

No major injuries were caused from the crash and the woman was taken to hospital in a stable condition for treatment.

Three fire trucks, two ambulances and three tow trucks all attended the scene.
