Stadiums, pubs and other venues across Australia are opening their doors to welcome football fans to cheer on the mighty Matildas at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Matildas will face England in the semi-finals after securing their spot during a penalty shootout against France in Brisbane on Saturday.
The match will kick-off at 8pm Wednesday.
After attracting a crowd for Saturday’s live-streamed match, the Sunshine Coast Stadium will open its gates again for free to invite supporters to watch the game on the big screen.
The stadium will be open from 7pm and food and drinks will be available.
The game will run live on the big screen at the Majestic Cinemas and Event Centre Nambour with free tickets.
The doors will open from 7.30pm.
The Duporth Tavern in Maroochydore and Four Pines Mooloolaba will be each running a Matildas jersey giveaway with free entry into the draw per booking.
The Alexandra Headland Surf Lifesaving Club will run several giveaways and open Bluff Bar for the occasion.
