Now F1 stalwart Mark Webber will have the ultimate place to slow down, in an opulent hillside escape on Little Cove at Noosa.

The four-bedroom house was bought by tennis player Thomas Muster for $3.5million in early 2006.

Mr Muster then spent more millions adding facilities and renovations to the already luxurious abode.

At an auction in January, Richardson and Wrench Noosa passed in the sale of 20 Bayview Road at $4.75 million.

It had a reserve of $5.5million, which was lowered to $5.175 million.

Negotiations were taken on by two punters, and Mr Webber bought the palatial home for a shade under $5 million.

R&W co-principal Peter Butt said Mr Webber scored a great deal on the home, which is surrounded by 3000 sqm of “privacy zone” or thick forestry.
