Visitors at Australia Zoo have sent their messages to the new parents, ranging from well wishes to some quirky parenting advice.

"(She'll) need to use all the mothering skills that she's learnt from days with the animals," father of two James Nunn said.

"Babies are next level evil, so she's going to really have her hands full. It's going to be a new challenge for Bindi and we're looking forward to seeing how she goes."

The proud parents took to social media to announce the arrival of the latest family addition, sharing a photo of the couple holding the baby.

Bindi told her following the girl's first name was to honour her great-grandmother and relatives of her husband's family, dating back to the 1700s while her middle name "Warrior Irwin" was a tribute to her father, the late Steve Irwin.

"Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light," Bindi said.

Chandler, 24, shared the same photo on his Instagram account, saying the arrival had been the best moment of his life.

She congratulated the Irwins and told them to make the most of "every little moment".

"It will go very quickly," she said.

Taylah Jones who visited the Zoo with her family said it was exciting to be at the famous park a day after the announcement.

Mountain creek mum Kerryn Palmer's family had been talking about the birth on Saturday morning and said her children wanted to meet the baby.

"My son's already asked if it hurts," she said. "I'm hoping we can actually see some celebrations today.

Brother Robert announced "the uncle adventures" would now begin.

"This little one picked the two best parents in the entire world," he said. "The most incredible, caring and strong Mum … and the funnest, coolest and kindest Dad.

"Love you three so much - I can't wait for this exciting journey ahead."

"And I know that Steve would be beyond proud," she said
