Two injured after car flips in hinterland crash

Two people were hospitalised after a two-vehicle crash on a major Sunshine Coast road on Sunday evening.

UPDATE: 

TWO people were hospitalised after a two-vehicle crash on a major Sunshine Coast road on Sunday evening.

Paramedics were called to the crash on the intersection of Steve Irwin Way and Beerburrum Rd at Beerburrum about 4.50pm.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said one vehicle had overturned and firefighters used the jaws of life to get someone out.

PARAMEDICS are treating motorists injured in a two-vehicle crash that has slowed traffic on a major Coast road.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Steve Irwin Way and Beerburrum Rd at Beerburrum about 4.50pm Sunday.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman could not confirm how many people were injured but said none of the injuries were life-threatening.

Police said traffic was flowing but word from the scene was it was congested.
