Two-vehicle crash on Caloundra Rd, Little Mountain causes traffic delays

Traffic is being diverted after emergency services worked to free a person trapped in a vehicle after a crash on a major Sunshine Coast road.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said they received a call at 10.40am on Thursday after two vehicles crashed and left one person trapped on Caloundra Rd, Little Mountain.

Three patients are currently being assessed and are in stable conditions, the spokesman said.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said the car door had been removed to free the trapped person to allow paramedics to transport them to hospital.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said traffic is currently being diverted down Bellvista Boulevard and Sugar Bag Rd and police are preparing to reopen one lane.
