A young Sunshine Coast mother has been left devastated by the sudden death of her beloved partner – just as they were expecting to welcome their second child into the world.

Riley Beth, who worked at Mooloolaba Vet Surgery, shared the tragic news of her partner Dillon Lambert’s death online.

“Sadly my beloved Dillon passed away on Saturday (June 29), he’ll be deeply missed by all who knew him,” Ms Beth said.

“His love, laughter and memory will never be forgotten.

“Fly high baby. We love you so much.”

A GoFundMe campaign was launched by his close work friend, Raymond Easton, to support the couple’s children.

“It’s with great sadness that we lost our mate Dillon Lambert. He leaves behind his loving partner Riley, beautiful daughter Ayla and a little one on the way. Our condolences also go to his extended family, who will miss him greatly,” Mr Easton said.

“He has left a large hole in his workplace that can never be filled. He was a great tradesman, mentor to the apprentices and you couldn’t ask for a better work mate.

“Every day, he brought incredible energy, kindness and laughter to the people around him and lifted everybody. His role as workplace HSR was one that he took on to make things better for those around him and ensure that everyone went home safe to their families. This role was taken very seriously by Dillon and he did a great job at it.”

Mr Easton said his mate would never be forgotten.

“Dill has countless friends in and outside of work with whom he has formed powerful bonds that will never be forgotten,” he said.

“These bonds are due to him being such a genuine person that wore his heart on his sleeve, taking care of those around him and finding the best in people. Always keen for a beer and a laugh, always had time for people and an ear when they needed it – just an absolute top bloke.

“It saddens me to think that despite all of the traits that made Dill the amazing person that he was, he won’t have the opportunity to instil these in his children and see them grow up.”

Mr Easton said all money raised would go towards the family left behind.

“I ask that anyone who can please donate here to his loving partner and children who must go on without him. As we all know, life keeps getting more expensive, but one thing I am sure of is that Dillon would do it for us. He would give the shirt off his back to help another person and I struggle to think of a family more deserving of support in their time of need than Dillon and Riley,” he said.

“May Dillon rest in peace.

“You will never be forgotten. your memory lives on in us all.”

“I wish I could find the words Riles. I am so, so sorry. Sending you nothing but love as you navigate this horrendous loss with your babies. Death can be so incredibly unfair,” Penelope Claire said.

“Shattered to hear this news he was one of the most amazing humans I got the privilege of working with. My heart breaks for you his family,” Rochelle Sculley Bourke said.
